The first trailer for the upcoming movie unveiled during The Game Awards gives fans of the original movie and popular Sega video game franchise a first look at Sonic's sidekick Tails and rival Knuckles, animated in the live-action world.

The official poster for the film dropped a day before the trailer was released.

After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations.
