YG Entertainment had a "meaningful talk" with 2NE1 members as they further fuel rumors of reuniting soon.

According to Korean entertainment website Soompi, the agency as well as 2NE1 members of Dara, CL, Park Bom, and Minzy shared an "extremely meaningful" conversation with executive producer and former CEO lf the agency, Yang Hyun Suk.

Although no concrete plans have been made for the group's rumored comeback, YG said, "Yang—who has a particular affection for 2NE1—listened to the members' requests and empathized with them, so we are looking forward to being able to convey the good news to the fans soon."

This came a few days after the agency confirmed reports about the upcoming meeting of the K-pop group with Yang.

"It is true that the executive producer and the members are scheduled to meet. Other than that, we have no further details to confirm at this time," the agency said, as per the Soompi report.

Before this, music industry insiders reported that CL, the group's leader, and Hyun Suk had a "secret meeting" in May. YG Entertainment briefly addressed the rumors, saying it "was not an official company meeting, and we cannot confirm further details at this time."

The second-gen K-pop girl group marked its 15th debut anniversary on May 17 with new group photos.

They also performed on stage together at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival—seven years after their disbandment in November 2016. Following that, the members have been busy with their solo careers under different agencies

They are known for their hit songs including Fire, I Don't Care, I Am The Best, Ugly, and Come Back Home.
