If you have any travel plans to Hong Kong later this year, you may want to include Cirque du Soleil’s internationally acclaimed show KOOZA in your itinerary.

Presented by UBS in partnership with Great Entertainment Group and Mast International, the Hong Kong leg of the show will mark Cirque du Soleil’s first appearance in the country since 2018. It will also serve as the first stop of their multi-destination tour throughout Asia.

Fans can expect high-flying acrobatics, whimsical characters, lavish costumes, colorful sets, hilarious clowns, and a powerful live score from the upcoming show, which features an international cast of 54 artists including six musicians and two singers.

Some of the key acts to get pumped up about include an aerial silk performed by a solo female performer, a dynamic Icarian games duo featuring human foot juggling, flips, and somersaults, and a high-energy diabolo act that features a triple world champion.

Prepare to be amazed by performers contorting their bodies, balancing precariously, and showcasing other incredible feats of strength and agility.

However, Kooza is more than just a collection of thrilling acts. It unfolds as a captivating narrative that follows the journey of the Innocent, who is transported to a fantastical world under the watchful guidance of the Trickster.

It will explore themes of "human connection and the duality of existence, encompassing both light and dark elements" in a fun and humorous tone.

The total show length is approximately two hours.

"We are thrilled to announce the return of Cirque du Soleil to Hong Kong with our record-breaking production of KOOZA. Since our first visit to Hong Kong in 1996, audiences and interest for Cirque du Soleil have continue[d] to grow over the years," said Duncan Fisher, president of Cirque du Soleil's Touring Shows Division.

"We look forward to the return of our Big Top at the Central Harbourfront to inspire new audiences," he added.

Kooza is coming to the Central Harbourfront Event Space, with performances beginning on May 21. Catch weekend shows at 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 8 p.m. (Saturdays) or 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Sundays). Weekday shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday.
