Demon Slayer: Kimentsu no Yaiba is set to return to theaters with an epic movie trilogy.

The anime announced on X that three Infinity Castle films will be coming to theaters. This came after the series finale of the Hashira Training arc, or season 4, aired.

"Demon Slayer has been a phenomenal franchise, and we at Crunchyroll are delighted to have been a part of it from the beginning," Rahul Purini, president of Crunchyroll, said in a statement.

"Crunchyroll is thrilled to be able to bring this trilogy of films to fans, on the big screen, and it promises to be one of the truly epic and consequential pop cultural events of our time when it hits cinemas."

Other details like the release date for the films have yet to be revealed.

Previously, a Demon Slayer film, Mugen Train, hit theaters in 2020 and is the highest grossing anime movie of all time with over $507 million at the box office.

Based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, Demon Slayer was adapted for television by Ufotable with the series beginning in 2019. It follows Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko after their family is attacked by demons. With Nezuko slowly turning into a demon, Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer to avenge his family and find a cure for his sister.

The seasons follow an arc from the manga, with the upcoming Infinity Castle being the longest one in the Japanese graphic novel with over 47 chapters.

Demon Slayer is streaming on Netflix and Disney+ in the Philippines.
