The hit social deduction game Among Us is finally coming to PlayStation consoles sometime this year, three years after its debut on PC and mobile devices.
During PlayStation's State of Play presentation on Thursday (April 29), Sony announced that the third-party game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms in 2021.
Similar to other platforms, the game will support crossplay and online multiplayer so that you can play with 4 to 10 friends no matter what platform you’re on.
PlayStation players will get exclusive Ratchet & Clank-themed cosmetics: a skin and hat to dress up like Ratchet and a pet in the form of an adorable little Clank.
“Get ready to welcome a whole new crew on board,” posted the game’s Twitter account with a teaser video for the game’s console release.

The arrival of Among Us to PlayStation systems means that the game has now been confirmed or released on all the core gaming platforms available.
Originally released in 2018 as a mobile-only game, Among Us blew up last year on PC and mobile devices, eventually becoming the most-downloaded mobile game of 2020.
"Among Us originally launched as a teeny, local, mobile only game, and we’re so blown away by how far it’s come. Now we’re even more excited to say it’ll be coming to PlayStation! Wahhh?! We can’t wait for even more people to join our space crew… and potentially eject some of them. With all four maps available to play – from the Skeld to the Airship – it’s going to be a chaotically fun time together," wrote Victoria Tran, Community Director of Innersloth on Sony's PlayStation blog.
The party game of tasks and deception, which shares the same concept as the childhood parlor game ‘Wink Murder’ (also known locally as ‘Killer Killer’), was boosted by the fun factor of the online multiplayer function amid the pandemic lockdowns and social distancing restrictions.
The game didn’t debut on consoles until a surprise release on Nintendo Switch last December. Among Us was previousl confirmed for the Nintendo Switch during Nintendo’s Indie World showcase.
A brief trailer showing off scenes from Among Us was shown before the ending of the trailer confirmed the broad release window of sometime this year.
Two days after, Microsoft confirmed that the game would be getting an Xbox release sometime in 2021, and now, we know it’s on the way for PlayStation consoles.
During the State of Play Event, Sony also showed off 16 minutes of stunning gameplay for the PS5-exclusive Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The highly anticipated game features Rivet, a female Lombax resistance fighter who lives in an alternate dimension from Ratchet and Clank.
