Work, work, work, work, work… without pay?

Rihanna absolutely killed her Super Bowl halftime performance—her first live show in seven years. But did you know she did not get paid for it?

According to a report by entertainment site E! News, NFL spokesperson Joanna Hunter previously revealed to Forbes that they do not give a paycheck to Super Bowl Halftime Show performers.

“We do not pay the artists. We cover expenses and production costs,” she said in an interview.

The nine-time Grammy award-winning singer came back on the live stage during the interval of the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, Feb. 13 (Philippine time). She sang her hit songs Only Girl (In the World), Where Have You Been, Rude Boy, Work, We Found Love, Umbrella, and Diamonds, among others.

RiRi also revealed she’s expecting baby number two on Super Bowl day. After sparking speculations about her second pregnancy (she was rubbing her stomach several times during her performance), her representative confirmed that she’s set to welcome another child with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.
