Spotify's new 'Music + Talk' blends podcasts with tunes. Here are 5 local shows you can catch right now
Music streaming service Spotify has officially launched Music + Talk, a new kind of podcast that weaves together music and spoken-word content.
Similar to the podcasts rampant on the app, the new feature makes it possible for the hosts to integrate songs to their recordings from the more than 70 million tunes in Spotify's arsenal. Think radio, but in episode form. Spotify Premium users will hear the full tracks in the shows, while Free users will only hear 30-second previews.
Music + Talk's initial rollout was in October of last year starting with the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. They've now expanded the service to cater to creators and users across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
