LIST: International artists coming to the Philippines in 2022

Truly, our hearts hurt so good following LANY's confirmation of their Asia tour.

The American pop-rock duo announced on May 25 via an Instagram reel that they will be touring Asia in November. Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, and, of course, Manila, are all part of their upcoming tour.

Paul Jason Klein, the band's lead vocalist, left notes in the comment thread, such as “prepare yourselves” and including one in Filipino: "mahal kita sobra." 

More information has yet to be released, but we'll keep an eye out for it.

LANY, which has already made a number of concerts in Manila, is known for their hits such as ILYSB, I Quit Drinking, Stupid Feelings, Malibu Nights, and dancing in the kitchen, among others.

Here are other international artists who have confirmed performances this year in the Philippines:

SHINee’s Key, NCT Dream, WEi, Alice - May 29

K-pop acts SHINee’s Key, NCT Dream, WEi, and Alice are set to perform at the “Begin Again: KPOP Edition” concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, May 29. 

Ticket pre-selling starts on May 17 on CDM Entertainment’s official website while tickets will go on sale via TicketNet on May 18.

Kim Soohyun fanmeet - June 10

Retail brand Bench has announced that Soo Hyun, who stars as Moon Kang Tae in the K-drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay, is coming to the Philippines in June 10. The event called "One Extraordinary Day with Kim Soo Hyun" will be from 3 PM onwards at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Louis Tomlinson - June 16

Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson will be back to serenade his Filipinos fans at the New Frontier Theater on July 16. “He's coming Back to You, Manila!!!” Live Nation Philippines wrote in a Facebook post on May 31. 

Tomlinson's upcoming concert is part of his global tour, which started in March and set to end in September. It comes two years after he launched his album "Walls" in January 2020.

Tickets will be up for sale for Live Nation Philippines members on June 4 and for the public on June 5. Prices range from P1,500 to P4,100.

Hwang Inyoup - June 19

True Beauty and The Sound of Magic actor Hwang Inyoup is set to meet his Pinoy fans at the New Frontier Theater on August . The fan meet is done in partnership with cosmetics brand BYS Philippines.

Red Velvet (along with BINI, BGYO, and Lady Pipay) - July 22

IPITI Inc. announced that K-pop girl group Red Velvet and P-pop acts BGYO, BINI, and Lady Pipay will perform at the “BE YOU: The World Will Adjust” concert at the SM Mall of Asia on July 22.

Billie Eilish - August 13

Billie Eilish is coming to Asia!

The singer-songwriter tweeted that they will hold their Manila leg tour concert “Happier Than Ever” in Mall of Asia Arena in Pasig on August 13. Presales for the ticket will begin on June 24 via SM Tickets.

(G)I-DLE - September 11

K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE announced that the Philippines is included in their “Just Me ()I-DLE” world tour. The concert will be held in Manila on September 11 at an unannounced venue.

The Script - September 23

Mark your calendars for September 23, The Script fans. The famous Irish rock band is flying back to Manila to perform their greatest hits after four years.

Their upcoming concert, titled "THE SCRIPT: Greatest Hits Tour 2022 in Manila," will take place on September 23 at the Mall of Asie Arena. It is part of the band's celebration tour for their latest album, Tales From The Script.

Boys Like Girls — Oct 10-12

The American band's performance, which was originally set for April 15 and 16, 2020, has been rescheduled for October 10 and 11, 2022, at the New Frontier Theater. Meanwhile, their show at Cebu's Sky Hall Seaside has been rescheduled until Oct. 12, 2022.

Calum Scott - Oct. 20

English singer-songwriter Calum Scott is returning to the country after almost four years since his Only Human Tour in Manila in 2018.

Scott, who has since been popular for competing in Britain's Got Talent 2015, will be performing once again at the New Frontier Theater on October 20. The concert is part of his Bridges Asia Tour, which includes shows in Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

Tickets for his local concert will start going on sale for 3,750 at 10 a.m. on June 15 via Ticketnet.

Justin Bieber — Oct. 29

As part of his Justice World tour, the 'Hold On' artist will return to Manila. Bieber will be performing at the CCP Open Grounds on Oct. 29, 2022. 

Tickets go on sale on May 30, 10 a.m. via Ovation Productions and SM Tickets.

Russ — Nov. 5

The American rapper, singer, and producer has announced that he will perform at SM Mall of Asia Arena on November 5th. Special guest Bugus will join the 'Losin Control' hitmaker onstage.

Avril Lavigne — Nov. 3

The much-anticipated concert of Canadian-French artist Avril Lavigne in Manila, which has been postponed twice, will finally take place on Nov. 3, 2022, at the Araneta Coliseum.

LANY — Nov. 11-13

If you missed LANY's concert in Manila back in 2019, then it's time to start considering your second week of November fully booked as they are returning to the Philippines in the same month.

On June 6, the American pop-rock trio announced that they will be throwing a three-day concert at the Mall of Asia Arena from November 11 to 13, as part of their A November to Remember Asia tour. 

Tickets cost P1,950 to P6,550. Fans can start purchasing them as early as 10 a.m. on June 10 via SM Tickets. Meanwhile, those who are members of Liva Nation Philippines will have the privilege to book seats early on June 8 and 9. 

Alanis Morisette — Nov. 18-19

Canadian-American singer and songwriter Alanis Morisette is set to perform at the Mall of Asia Arena on Nov. 18-19, 2022 as part of her Jagged Little Pill tour.

Morisette was originally scheduled to perform in 2020 but was cancelled due to the pandemic.

OPM band Up Dharma Down will be a guest performance during the concert.

Update: On Wednesday, June 22, Morisette announced the cancellation of her concert in Manila. While she did not specify the reason, she said that she "will be back as soon as we can."

Maroon 5 — Dec. 8

Sugar? Yes, please!

American pop rock band MAROON 5 will be back at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena for their World Tour 2022 concert on December 8, 2022. Promoter Live Nation announced that tickets will be available via www.smtickets.com and its outlets at 10AM starting August 4 for Fan Club Presale (online), August 5 for LNPH Presale (online), and August 6 for public on sale (online and outlets).

The Manila show is priced at P23,500 for floor standing, P22,000 for patron sides, P20,000 for lower box A premium, P17,500 for lower box A regular, P15,000 for lower box B premium, and P13,500 for lower box B regular.

keshi — Dec. 11

Singer-songwriter keshi announced that he's bringing the Asia leg of his “HELL/HEAVEN” tour to Manila on December 11, 2022.

The artist sold out his 2022 North American and European headlining tour, HELL/HEAVEN, within minutes during the artist's pre-sale, leading to additional dates and larger venues. His other accolades include his feature on Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: The Album with the song War With Heaven” and collaborations with renowned brands like YSL, Fender and Microsoft. 

The concert will be held at the New Frontier Theater. Ticket prices range from P1,500 for Balcony 2 to P4,500 for VIP 1 tickets.
