To all the boys she loved before: Lana Condor is now engaged
To all the boys she loved before, sorry. Lana Condor is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend.
Condor announced on Instagram Jan. 29 that she said yes to actor-musician Anthony de la Torre after six years of dating.
"Saying YES was the easiest decision I've ever made," Condor's caption read. "I consider myself the absolute luckiest woman alive to live in your sphere," referring to De La Torre.
"Aside from my father, without a doubt, you are the greatest man in the world," the caption continued.
"Emmy & Timmy said it’s about time mommy & daddy got engaged!!!" referring to their dogs.
The To All the Boys series star, who was born in Vietnam, also praised her fiancé for collaborating with Paris Jewelers, a Canadian company owned by two Vietnamese women, to "design the most stunning piece I’ve ever seen!"
"The fact he knew how important it was to me that he’d collaborate w/ a Vietnamese company to help design my ring is a testament to just how truly thoughtful he always is," she said. "I cannot wait to be your wife, baby. I love you a million times over."
De La Torre, whose acting credits include Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Lords of Chaos, also made a separate announcement on his Instagram account.
"That moment when you ask your best friend to be by your side forever," he said, adding that he wanted to do "this for 6 years," referring to the time that he and Condor have been dating. "The easiest decision I’ve ever made was to ask this angel to be my wife."
De La Torre also gave Paris Jewelers a shoutout, as "every detail of the ring has purpose and means so much to us both."
He also mentioned in jest that it's his "first time" to open a bottle of champagne as he popped the question of his lifetime.
The couple first met during a reception for Emmy nominees in 2015. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Condor said De La Torre introduced himself to her, saying "I thought I would make a friend." And the rest is history.
