Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas welcome their first child: 'We are overjoyed to confirm'
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are now parents.
The celebrity couple made the surprise announcement on Instagram early Jan. 22 Philippine time, saying they're "overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate."
Priyanka and Nick didn't reveal their baby’s name or sex.
"We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much," the post read.

The couple got married in a traditional Indian ceremony in December 2018, after dating for four months.
In an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this month, Priyanka said she and Nick are really looking forward to becoming parents someday.
“They’re a big part of our desire for the future,” she said. “By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
Priyanka also told the publication that once it happens, they will have to "slow down" with work.
“I’m okay with that,” she said. “We’re both okay with that.”
