Matty Juniosa advances to 'Britain's Got Talent' finals after earning second golden buzzer
Filipino singer Matty Juniosa just keeps on shining on the stage of Britain's Got Talent as he earned another golden buzzer for his stellar performance, allowing him to advance to the finals.
During the semi-finals of the talent show competition, Juniosa stunned the audience once more with his soulful delivery of Aerosmith's song Dream On.
After he finished, the 27-year-old Pinoy earned a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI.
Giving her comment, Dixon told Juniosa that she "doesn't even know what to say" as she praised him for being "effortlessly sensational."
"Those high notes are just so sweet, and it's just so lovely to sit back, relax, enjoy the show—that was a stellar, masterclass performance on how to deliver a class A vocal," she said.
For her part, Holden shared that she had asked the producers what would happen if she doesn't press her golden buzzer, and they answered that the decision would go to the audience.
However, Holden said that she is "not giving it to the audience" as she moved to press the buzzer herself, sealing Juniosa's spot in the finals as golden confetti rained down on the stage.
The singer couldn't help but jump in joy and express his gratitude for giving him the golden buzzer for a second time after his audition.
Cowell, who was the one who gave Juniosa his first golden buzzer, agreed echoed Dixon's sentiments on how the singer's performance was masterclass.
"That's what it's all about. Great song. Your range is incredible, and you know what? You are the sweetest person, I'm so happy for you. Two golden buzzers, that's not bad right?" he said.
With this, Juniosa now has a spot in the finals, where he can potentially win the £250,000 (P20 million) prize.
Prior to joining the competition, Juniosa had been residing in Glasgow, United Kingdom, for the past three years as a part-time waiter.
The nineteenth season of Britain's Got Talent is expected to have its finals in May.
