WATCH: Filipina singer advances on 'Britain's Got Talent'
Filipino talent continues to shine on Britain’s Got Talent as another singer has wowed the judges and audience with her vocals, allowing her to advance to the next round.
In the latest episode of the reality TV competition, Kristel Herrera entered the stage and introduced herself to judges KSI, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Stacey Solomon, who was filling in for judge Simon Cowell.
Herrera, who hails from Halifax, West Yorkshire, shared that her "biggest dream is to perform in front of [King Charles]."
"I feel like today is my big day," she said.
Herrera then belted out Whitney Houston’s classic Run to You, delivering a performance filled with soaring vocals and heartfelt emotion that immediately captivated the crowd.
The judges were visibly moved, and by the end of her performance, all four of them gave her a standing ovation.
"Honestly, like that was unbelievable. I mean, your husband must be over the moon being able to hear that every day of his life. I want to see more. I want to see more," KSI said.
Dixon echoed the same sentiments, saying. "Wow, wow, wow. Kristel, this is your year. That was sensational, absolutely outstanding. Your technique was ten out of ten. Absolutely fantastic. I loved it."
"Honestly, I am blown away by that entire performance," Holden added. "And what I'm finding extraordinary is how, sort of, little and shrunk you are. And when you sang, you turned into a complete diva, baby."
"I think I look at you and I don't think you realize just how incredible you are. The way you go from head voice to chest voice so effortlessly is unbelievable. And I really hope that you get more confidence because you're incredible," Solomon highlighted.
The judges then gave a collective "yes" to Herrera, allowing her to compete for a spot in the live semifinals.
Apart from Herrera, Filipino singer Matty Juniosa had also made a mark on Britain’s Got Talent Season 19 during his audition a week ago, impressing the judges with his rendition of Purple Rain by legendary musician Prince. His performance was enough to spur Cowell to push the golden buzzer, allowing him to bypass further audition rounds and advance to the live shows.
