Kapuso and Kapamilya unite!

GMA shared a post about the new project on Instagram on Friday, Jan. 20, with the caption: “A collaboration that nobody expected is about to happen!”

In another post on Saturday, Jan. 21, GMA shared a sneak peek of the cast for the upcoming project. Many netizens were quick to guess it includes Joshua Garcia, Gabbi Garcia, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Richard Yap in the comment section.

Further details have yet to be announced, but what we know so far is that it’s a team-up with video streaming provider Viu and that it’s set to be revealed on Monday, Jan. 23 at 12:00 p.m.

In April, GMA and ABS-CBN announced their agreement to air Star Cinema’s hit movies on GMA’s local channels, including I Love You, Hater, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank, Just The Way You Are, Finally Found Someone, No Other Woman, Fantastica, among others.

ABS-CBN had a failed bid for a new franchise when Congress junked its petition in 2020, putting a stop to its TV and radio operations. In early 2022, Manny Villar took over the media company’s television broadcast frequencies.
