Dino adventure game ‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ gets animated adaptation

Move over, Jurassic Park. There’s another dinosaur-themed franchise in town.

During the recent Game Awards 2020, Studio Wildcard announced the arrival of ARK: The Animated Series. It’s the animated adaptation of the highly successful adventure-survival game ARK: Survival Evolved.

In a video posted by The Game Awards, fans caught a unique glimpse of the mysterious yet expanding ARK universe. The teaser clip shows a brief hunt between two dino-riders. The chase ended with a life-and-death battle.

ARK: The Animated Series features the voices of Madeleine Madden, Michelle Yeoh, Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Wright, David Tennant, Zahn McClarnon, Devery Jacobs, Ragga Ragnars, Elliot Page, Karl Urban, Malcolm McDowell, Deborah Mailman, Juliet Mills, Alan Tudyk, Ron Yuan, Russell Crowe, and Vin Diesel.

The series is slated for release in 2022.

The animated series is a spin-off of ARK: Survival Evolved, an action-adventure open world survival game that has gained quite a following in recent years. Available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and IOS, the game sold more than 5.5 million copies within a year of being released.
