The internet has lost another TikTok grandma.

TikTok creator Chris Punsalan, who is known for his "Day in my life as a caretaker" vlogs, announced that Anica Santos Manipon, his grandma who appears in his videos, has passed away.

Back in 2019, the duo started going viral online for their inspiring and cute videos of their daily routine. Chris cared for his lola full-time for seven years and was seen carrying and feeding as well as chatting about life and joking with the 97-year-old in their TikToks.

When he announced his grandmother's passing on Jan. 30, Chris shared a heartwarming message along with their adorable photos together across his social media accounts.

“My heart is broken, Grandma fought so hard and lived such a fruitful life. I’m relieved that she can finally rest and she’s in better hands than we could’ve ever provided. I love you forever grandma," he wrote.

Social media users commented their messages of condolences for Chris' family.

"Grandma has lived a fruitful life. May all your cherished memories and the love you have shared provide comfort during this difficult time," one user wrote.

"Thank you for sharing your grandma with us. It was such a joy watching you take care of her. She's such a wonderful woman and you inspire us to love our own relatives even more. Rest in power, Grandma and our [condolences] to you and your family, Chris," said another.

In her younger years, Anicia was a public school teacher beloved by her community in Tarlac.

Before Anicia's passing, Chris cared for her full-time while he pursued music. This has allowed the young creator to share videos of himself tending to his grandma and provide tips on how to care for the elderly properly.

With over 2.4 million followers on TikTok, Chris and grandma were also known for videos shouldering words of affirmation such as "Everything will be okay," speaking in Kapampangan, and their famous banter regarding ‘Chooseday’ (Tuesday).
