General ticket sales will start on June 28 at 10 p.m.
Tickets will be available at Ticketworld, Newport World Resorts Box Office, and Helixpay, under the following tiers: Bronze (P1,500), Silver (P2,000), Gold (P3,000), and VIP (P4,000).
Shrek the Musical is based on the 1990 book Shrek! by William Steig and the 2001 DreamWorks Animation film of the same name.
It follows the story of Shrek as he goes on a quest "to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona with the help of his loveable Donkey and win back the deed to his swamp from scheming Lord Farquaad."
Shrek the Musical premiered on Broadway in 2008. Originally produced on Broadway by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, it features music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire.
The Philippine staging of Shrek the Musical, as well as casting calls for several key roles, was announced last March.
Michael Williams will serve as director, with Cara Barredo as assistant director. Musical staging will be done by Dexter Santos, choreography by Stephen Viñas, and music direction by Rony Fortich.
NWR Musicals is behind productions like Delia D. and Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical.
