Since the launch of All Of Us Are Dead on Netflix, Pinoy fans have been sharing countless relatable memes across the internet to share their love for the show. Inspired by the very Pinoy high-school humor, streaming giant Netflix has unveiled real meme billboards nationwide.
The twist on traditional billboards can be found in key spots in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Laguna, and more. Check some of them out below.
According to Netflix, even before its release, All of Us Are Dead received enormous interest from global audiences for the trailer, recording more than 16 million views only in English speaking countries. The positive reception after the series release is currently taking the world by storm and "rewriting K-zombie history."
The Netflix original series is about students, trapped at a school overrun by a zombie virus, who struggle to stay alive until help arrives.
Immediately after its release, the thrilling zombie K-series soared to the Netflix TOP 10 list (Non-English TV List) in 91 countries worldwide, proving the global power and popularity of Korean content.
As of Feb. 2 (Wednesday), according to Netflix’s website www.top10.netflix.com, All of Us Are Dead recorded approximately 124.79 million hours viewed within three days of its release, and seized first place on the TOP 10 (Non-English TV) list in 29 countries.
The series currently ranks in the Top 10 among an additional 62 countries, including the USA, Canada, Brazil, Greece, Russia, Spain, Italy, and the Philippines, marking another global phenomenon for the streamer, with largely positive responses pouring in from international critics and viewers.
"Like Squid Game before it, All of Us Are Dead, make the most out of its nightmarish central location to otherworldly, dizzying effect…Sequences like Cheong-san and Gwi-nam facing off on top of the library stacks, a tense tip-toeing mission down a hallway, and a mad dash across the auditorium to safety are impressively staged to bring the extraordinary and the ordinary together to thrilling effect," appreciating the powerful images and nonstop action scenes, according to a review from Variety.
In case you haven’t watched the latest craze yet, all episodes of All of Us Are Dead are currently streaming only on Netflix.
