Warner Bros. is taking fans under the sea once again to witness the long-awaited trailer of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.

In the trailer, Jason Momoam as Aquaman/Arthur Curry, is seen struggling between his "jobs" as a family man and the King of Atlantis with the responsibility to defend half a billion species against Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Black Manta.

As Aquaman's archenemy, Black Mantra intends to “murder Aquaman’s family” and “burn his kingdom to ash”. He must be stopped, or “a global meltdown will be imminent”.

But with a villain as mighty as the ruthless underwater mercenary, the King of Atlantis is left with no choice but to seek the help of an unlikely ally—his own half-brother and former nemesis, Orm (played by Patrick Wilson).

The film, directed by James Wan, also sees the return of Amber Heard as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, and Nicole Kidman as Aquaman's mother Atlanna.

Here is the official synopsis of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom:

Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to hit the big screens globally beginning December 20.
