SB19 delivers historic Lollapalooza performance
SB19 made history as the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza, proudly showcasing OPM on one of the world's biggest festival stages.
The P-Pop kings' set began at 4:30 a.m. (Philippine time) on Friday, July 31, in Chicago.
The group earned the enthusiasm of the crowd as they entered the stage before opening with a hard-hitting performance of DAM, followed by GENTO.
After introducing themselves to festivalgoers, SB19 debuted their new song LAWLESS live before treating the audience to a mix of fan favorites and high-energy tracks: Emoji, MAPA, Wakas, VISA, DUNGKA!, and CRIMZONE.
Also included is a preview of their cover of Francis M.'s Mga Kababayan for the upcoming DreamWorks animated film Forgotten Island.
Throughout the performance, the members interacted warmly with the audience, shared personal messages, and were met with loud cheers as fans waved Philippine flags.
"What an unforgettable experience! We hope we made an impact, and we're beyond proud to represent the Philippines at Lollapalooza. Maraming salamat," the group wrote on Weverse.
The performance is part of SB19's historic international firsts in July, including performing at the Grammy Museum and making the ceremonial pitch at a Major League Baseball game.
SB19 consists of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The group debuted in 2018 with their first single Tilaluha and has since become a renowned P-pop sensation. They became the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist.
