SB19 will be making history again—this time, in Major League Baseball!

The boy group announced on Instagram that they will make the ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees game on July 29 at Rate Field in Chicago.

"The calendar is set. The climb continues. One nation behind us. The world before us," the group captioned the post, which included their other engagements for July and August.

Also in the calendar of events were SB19's performance at the Grammy Museum on July 28, Lollapalooza on July 30, "I WaS There Thanksgiving Fanmeet" in the United States on Aug. 8 and 9, Summer Sonic on Aug. 14 and 15, and "I WaS There Thanksgiving Fanmeet" in Japan on Aug. 18.

Should the event proceed as planned, SB19 will be the first P-Pop group to throw the ceremonial first pitch at an MLB game, joining Filipino celebrities Manny Pacquiao, Liza Soberano, and Jo Koy.

According to National Geographic, the ceremonial first pitch is "usually associated with US presidents, politicians, celebrities, and other notable people," to mark the opening of baseball games since the sport became professional. The earliest recorded instance was Ohio governor and then-US president William McKinley in 1892.
