Aspiring Pokémon trainers rejoice! You can now own a piece of your favorite Pokémon, right on your own wrists.

Legendary Japanese watchmaker Seiko has just announced a collaboration with The Pokémon Company to release a new collection featuring four limited-edition Pokémon-style timepieces.

Launched just in time for the holidays, the new Pokémon Collection is made up of several variations based on the three most popular Pokémon from the first generation: Pikachu, Eevee, and Mewtwo. The watches have different dial colors, with each model sporting a unique design heavily influenced by details and Easter eggs taken from the fantasy world of Pokémon.

Pikachu

For Electric Type Pikachu, trainers can choose from two designs. The first Seiko Pikachu watch has a bright yellow dial with a stylish Pikachu silhouette right at the center. At the bottom part of the watch face, the words “Super effective on water type!!” has been printed. The original leather strap comes in a combination of solid black and yellow colors, accentuated by tiny, embossed Pikachu footprints.

On the other hand, the second Seiko Pikachu watch comes in a deep shade of green for the watch dial. At the bottom, there’s a cute illustration of a running Pikachu similar to its familiar in-game animations. The bright yellow minute hand is shaped like a lightning bolt, just like Pikachu’s trademark tail. Each watch model will only have a limited quantity of 1,200 pieces, its rarity making it a must-have piece for any Pokémon merchandise collector.

Evee

For Normal Type Eevee, the Seiko Eevee watch has a dial with an ecru color, combined with a line art of a smiling Eevee at the bottom. Different colors mark each hour, signifying Eevee’s base form and its eight other evolutions, namely; Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Glaceon, Sylveon, and Leafeon. A white Pokéball has been prominently placed on top to serve as the 12 o’clock marker. This model has a brown leather strap embossed with Eevee’s footprints. Seiko will release only 1,000 pieces of this special Eevee watch.

A lovely Monster Ball-themed box and cleaning cloth comes with the three Seiko watch models (two Pikachus and one Eevee).

Mewtwo

For Psychic Type Mewtwo, a purple theme makes it the most striking among all four. This Seiko Mewtwo watch shows Mewtwo confidently placed on a purple ripple background. But instead of his footprints, the Pokémon logo has been embossed on the black side of the leather strap. The purple timepiece is elegantly packaged with a Master Ball-themed box and cleaning cloth. It will be produced in a limited quantity of only 1,000 pieces.

All four Seiko x Pokémon watch sets come with a nylon replacement strap that can be used for casual or sporty occasions. Under the hood, extra-precise quartz movement keeps track of time.

Each watch costs ¥30,800 or $300 (P14,425) via Seiko’s Japanese online store this December. No word yet for the global release of these special edition watches.
