Japanese anime film 'Suzume' coming soon to Philippine cinemas
Heads up, anime fans! Suzume is arriving in Philippine theaters this March.
Film distribution and production companies Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines and Encore Films announced on Feb. 8 that Makoto Shinkai’s much anticipated Japanese film is making its way to Philippine cinemas, with its release date to be revealed in the coming days.
On Feb. 23, Warner Bros. gave another update confirming that the film will be opening in local theaters on March 8.
First released in Japan in November 2022, Suzume tells the story of a 17-year-old girl who met a man who is looking for a door. After finding one in a ruins in the mountains, she finds herself in a series of disasters, brought by other strange, different doors around Japan.
It is directed by prominent Japanese director, Makoto Shinkai, famous for his works Your Name and Weathering With You.
