Gmail, Google Drive suffer global outage

Thousands of users are currently having trouble accessing their Gmail and Google Drive following a global outage.

According to Google Apps’ status page, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Meet and Google Chat are among the services that are currently facing service disruptions. 

In a Twitter post, Google confirmed that their system is facing some technical issues. “Thanks for reporting. We are aware of a service disruption at the moment. Keep an eye out for the latest updates here https://bit.ly/3gcsUrN,” it said.

Meanwhile, third party website Downdetector reported that 60% of the users have experienced problems with their attachments while 23% are unable to log-in on their account. Some users on Twitter claimed that they are unable to access their Gmail while others are having difficulty downloading or uploading their attachments on their email.
