Netflix ends 30-day free trial promo

Netflix is no longer offering its 30-day free trial promo.

In a statement sent to Variety, a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that it has ended its free trial offering in the United States.

“We’re looking at different marketing promotions in the U.S. to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience,” the representative said.

For the Philippines, the streaming giant’s end to the free trial offer seems to be already in effect, as the free trial option in its homepage no longer exists. Instead, subscribers will be asked to create or restart their membership.

A quick check of their help page for information on the Philippines confirms this as well:

Last month, the streaming platform rolled out its Netflix Watch Free site, which offers the pilot episodes of some of its popular titles including Stranger Things, Elite, Bird Box, Our Planet, When They See Us, Love is Blind and Boss Baby.

Variety noted that Netflix started phasing out its free-trial offers in other markets two years ago while the free limited-time membership is still being offered in other countries like South Korea.
