WATCH: SB19 looks back on successful year in sentimental ‘SLMT’ music video
2021 has been an unforgettable year for P-pop superstars SB19 and their legion of dedicated fans or A’TIN.
To mark the end of a successful year, SB19 dropped the music video of SLMT on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021. The laidback reggae-inspired track was released in July 2021 as part of the tracklist of their first EP Pagsibol.
SLMT is the quintet’s love letter to A’TIN as they expressed their gratitude for the support they’ve received in 2021.
“Ako'y nagpapasalamat / Sa lahat ng sumabay sa paglalakbay ko / Papatungo sa ‘king pangarap / Lagi ko kayong tanaw sa paglipad,” Pablo charmingly sang at the song’s intro.
The music video was shot in Palawan and has gathered over 219,000 views since its release.
SB19 also recalled their unforgettable moments in 2021 where they’ve showcased more of their star power in the local and international music scene. They recently made history as the first Filipino act to surpass BTS in Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart with Bazinga.
The five-member group also became the first Filipino artists to be nominated under the Billboard Music Awards Top Social Artist category.
In December 2021, SB19 was named as the Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
Some of the group’s achievements in 2021 include headlining three digital concerts, releasing a clothing line in collaboration with designer Chynna Mamawal, and joining forces with OPM stars Ben&Ben for the track MAPA, among others.
SB19 is composed of five members, namely, Pablo, Stell, Justin, Ken, and Josh. The five-member group debuted in 2018 under ShowBT Entertainment.
