Netflix's 'Physical: 100' to return for third season
The quest for the perfect physique continues as the popular competitive reality show Physical: 100 is returning for its third season.
On Instagram, Netflix Korea announced the renewal of the survival show, which showcases "100 contestants in top physical shape competing in various challenges until only one remains to win the prize money and claim the honor as the one with the best body and the strongest physical."
"Physical confrontation of Asia's strongest <Physical: 100>, Season 3 production confirmed," the streaming giant wrote in the caption.
Further details, such as the premiere date and cast, have yet to be announced.
The show, which is formatted like a tournament, made history as the first Korean reality show to top Netflix’s global non-English TV rankings.
As per K-media outlet Soompi, it reached no. 1 in 82 countries and was watched 192.63 million hours in six weeks.
Likewise, its season two, which aired last March 19 to April 2, also ranked in the top 10 in 87 countries and held the no. 1 spot for two consecutive years.
Snowboarder Woo Jin-young won the first season while bodybuilder and CrossFit athlete Amotti won the second.
The show featured different physical challenges such as one-on-one death matches to gain possession of a ball and moving a 1.5-ton ship.
