The finale of Netflix's Physical: 100 season 2 has hit the streaming service and it may take until next year before viewers get season 3.

The popular South Korean series, which is the top 6th most watched TV show in the Philippines, as of writing, sees 100 competitors of different backgrounds show off their strength, agility, endurance, and willpower in different individual and team challenges.

Physical: 100 is kind of like a real-life Squid Game as it's a test of survival where competitors are eliminated with only one emerging on top to win a grand prize of 300 million won (~P13 million).

National athletes, CrossFitters, bodybuilders, fighters, and more put their strengths to the test in the reality show. Some notable contestants from both seasons include Olympian Yun Sung-bin (who's rumored to be dating TWICE's Jihyo), MMA fighter Choo Sung-hoon, and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo star Lee Jae-yoon.

Can't get over the inspiring show of power, stamina, and determination on Physical: 100, or do you just want to watch more reality shows that challenge contestants' brains and brawns? Here are some thrilling, exciting, and nerve-wracking competition reality shows to add to your watchlist.

The Devil’s Plan

Another South Korean reality show, The Devil’s Plan is more of a battle of minds, wit, and strategy than physical prowess.

12 contestants consisting of celebrities, influencers, and recruits from different professions and occupations are set to compete in various mind games of strategy and wit. The winner gets to take home a cash prize of up to 500 million Korean won.

12 contestants with no access to their phones or any technological device are given a "piece" that they trade among other players or use for game benefits. Daily, there are two matches—a Main Match and a Prize Match—with "pieces" up for grabs.

Matches consist of card games, abstract strategy games, social deduction games, and board games. These games prompt players to strategically play or betray one another in accordance with the show’s devilish theme to advance to the next level.

The Trust: A Game of Greed

This reality game show challenges contestants' trust and loyalty with each other.

Each of the show's 11 participants is promised a fair share of the $250,000 prize, but it is up to them whether they would divide the money equally or eliminate one another which could influence the prize money.

The constants were housed in a luxurious villa wherein they got to spend time with one another. They then have a chance to vote one person out of the game during Trust Ceremonies.

To increase the prize money, there are games competitors can join like revealing their secrets and ranking one another. Some are provided “offers” that could test their personality and dignity, which could save themselves or the group.

Survivor

If we're talking about OG competition reality shows, we can't miss Survivor. This reality competition, which first premiered in 1997 and is still ongoing, puts a group of strangers on an island or isolated location where they must look for food, shelter, and fire for themselves while taking on challenges that test their physical and mental abilities. It's a survival of the fittest as competitors vote each other out until a sole survivor remains.

ICYDK, the reality competition has previously been set in Philippine islands like Caramoan and Palaui Island.

The Mole

The famous mobile game Among Us is brought to life in The Mole.

As the title suggests, one of the contestants is destined to be “The Mole," who is assigned to sabotage the group’s mission to increase the prize money. In each episode, after taking a multiple-choice quiz, the participant who knows the least about the mole is removed from the competition.

Zombieverse

How would you fare in a zombie apocalypse? This South Korean reality series puts a group of celebrities in a version of Seoul where there's a zombie virus outbreak. The survivors must escape the city and outrun the dead (played by other actors) as they take on quests to advance to the next stage.

The reality competition's first season stars Sweet Home actress Lee Si-young and other familiar faces. A second season is coming this 2024.
