‘Pennywise’ actor Bill Skarsgård teases role in ‘John Wick 4’
Bill Skarsgård on Tuesday talked about his role in the upcoming action-packed sequel, John Wick 4, confirming a previous report that he is joining the cast.
Skarsgård spoke to Collider that he will be playing a “fun role” and that it is “something different,” making him accept the role. However, his character is not required to have “fight training.”
From his recent portrayal of Willard in the thriller drama, The Devil All the Time, and his most known role as Pennywise from horror movie IT, Skarsgård added that he wanted to be as versatile as he possibly can with his craft; hopefully venturing out in different genres like comedy or action.
Skarsgård will be joining the new cast including Marko Zaror, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Hiroyuki Sanada, and pop singer Rina Sawayama, who will be making her feature film acting debut. They will be joining Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane.
Directed by Chad Stahelski, the cameras started rolling for the fourth installment of the franchise last June 29.
John Wick 4 is slated for a May 27 theatrical release after experiencing production delays due to the pandemic.
