LIST: New movies and TV shows to watch in March
Now that February is officially in the rearview mirror, it's time to update your watchlist for some new films and television shows coming this March 2025.
Whether you want to go to the cinemas to enjoy the big screen or just chill at home with some snacks, it's always good to forget about the real world and immerse yourself in fiction for an hour or two.
Without further ado, here are some films and series that will be making their debut this March in the Philippines. Release dates below may still be subject to change.
Ne Zha 2

Ne Zha 2 took the world by storm by becoming the fastest-grossing animated film, beating Disney's Inside Out 2 in less than three weeks of release. This was certainly a milestone worthy of praise, as the film didn't do much to market itself outside of its home turf in China.
But what exactly is the film about?
A sequel to the 2019 fantasy adventure film of the same name, Ne Zha 2 centers on the popular Chinese mythological characters Ne Zha and Ao Bing. After having their bodies destroyed by heavenly lightning in the last film, they are now surviving as spirits.
Ne Zha’s mentor, Master Taiyi, rebuilds their corporeal form using the Sacred Lotus, but as they are recovering, new challenges arise that threaten the balance of the realms.
Ne Zha 2 will arrive in the Philippines on March 12.
Mickey 17

From the mind of the Academy Award-winning director of Parasite comes a brand-new film that you wouldn't want to miss in theaters.
Mickey 17, Bong Joon Ho's next groundbreaking cinematic work, stars an unlikely hero named Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) as he finds himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job—to die, for a living.
Because of this, Mickey is tasked with doing several dangerous assignments that ultimately costs him his life, with a new body being regenerated each time he dies.
The film stars the likes of Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo.
Mickey 17 will open in Philippine cinemas on March 5.
Crosspoint

Crosspoint is another film that will have you at the edge of your seat thanks to its action-packed story.
The film stars Carlo Aquino and Japanese actor Takehiro Hira as two men who join forces to capture a high-profile serial killer at large in order to get the bounty that's estimated to be 10 million yen, which would help bring an end to their respective financial struggles.
Crosspoint will be available for streaming on Netflix on March 13.
The Electric State

This new sci-fi adventure flick starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt will certainly electrify you with excitement.
Loosely based on the 2018 illustrated novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag, The Electric State is set on a retro-futuristic backdrop and tells the story of an orphaned teenager named Michelle who lives in a society filled with robots resembling cartoons and mascots. Instead of co-existing with them however, humans and robots now live in conflict following a robot rebellion.
Michelle soon sets off on a journey after meeting Cosmo, a mysterious robot who appears to be controlled by her genius younger brother whom she thought was dead.
The film also stars Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci.
The Electric State premieres on Netflix on March 14.
Snow White

Excited to relive the tale of the fairest princess of them all?
Disney's newest addition to their live-action library is the classic tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was first released back in 1937. The magical music adventure allows fans to relive the story of Snow White as she forms a bond with seven dwarves named Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy all while trying to stop her jealous stepmother.
Snow White stars Rachel Zegler as the title character and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. It will premiere in cinemas on March 19.
The Residence

On the hunt for a mystery drama series that will have you biting your nails in suspense? Then watch out for The Residence, an eight-episode show that focuses on a fictional murder scandal involving the staff of the White House.
When a state dinner at the home of the US president becomes a crime scene, detective Cordelia Cupp must investigate dozens of staff members and guests to catch a killer. However, this proves to be quite the challenging hurdle, as interpersonal conflicts between 157 personnel of the residence begin to erupt.
The Residence stars Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jason Lee, Ken Marino, Edwina Findley, and Randall Park.
It will begin streaming on Netflix on March 20.
Daredevil: Born Again

You can never go wrong with a good old superhero screening. Luckily, Disney+ is set to revive the masked vigilante Daredevil in its new series Daredevil: Born Again.
A continuation of the 2015 series, the new show is set several years later after blind lawyer Matt Murdock stopped his activities as his alter ego Daredevil. Former mob boss Wilson Fisk meanwhile pursues his own political endeavors in New York.
But when their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
The series stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.
Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4.
