Meet the queens: Here are the 12 fabulous queens competing on 'Drag Race Philippines'

Start your engines! Drag Race Philippines has introduced the 12 Filipino queens competing in the show's debut season and it's shaping up to be a "sickening" cast.

A local adaptation of RuPaul's Drag Race, Drag Race Philippines will be hosted by Paolo Ballesteros and will have Jiggly Caliente and Kaladkaren as judges. Let's get to know the queens who'll be vying for the crown.

Brigiding

A 29-year-old performer from Mandaluyong City, Brigiding is a well-known local drag queen and is the founder of Drag Playhouse PH. She has performed in Pride parades and drag events all over the world, including Thailand, Vietnam, UK, and the US.

Brigiding describes her drag as "bold, big, bubbly, bongga."

"I am a ball of energy when I perform. I like to have fun on stage, I don't take things too seriously. Ako yung magkakamali sa stage, ako yung tutumba-tumba, makikipag-inuman sa audience. I just love sharing good energy with happy people," she said in her Meet the Queen video.

Corazon

Corazon is a seasoned pageant queen from Bolinao, Pangasinan. She's competed in male bikini contests as well as provincial Miss Gay events and talent shows. 

This drag queen describes herself as "masiyahin pero palaban." In her intro video, she said, "Di mo ako kaya bully-hin dahil ibabalik ko sa'yo kung anong ginawa mo sa'kin."

Corazon is also a freelance makeup artist and designer.

Eva Le Queen

Describing herself as "your cool drag tita," Eva Le Queen is a resident queen at Nectar Nightclub and is also a founder of Drag Playhouse PH. This queen worked as an OFW in Singapore for eight years before she decided to do drag full-time.

"My drag personality is very dignified, very queenly, very regal, very polished and always with a pinch of stupid," Eva Le Queen said.

Gigi Era

Homegrown from Davao, Gigi Era made a name for herself in Australia for her death-defying stunts and real hair wigs. She's a former dancer and airplane cabin crew member based in Dubai and is now back in the Philippines.

"What sets me apart from other queens is my story and how I actually built myself from the bottom to where I am now," she said.

Lady Morgana

Another Davaoeña queen, Lady Morgana is a 30-year-old performer who's been doing drag for almost 17 years.

"Lady Morgana is energetic, fierce, very sossy, social, and of course, positive with lots of energy," she said, sharing how drag in Mindanao is very artistic.

Marina Summers

Marina Summers is a 25-year-old "tropical Filipina bombshell queen" who was originally born in Nueva Vizcaya. She moved to Manila to work for an advertising company and started performing drag in 2019.

"My drag name originated from my love for the beach and the summer season. Marina Summers represents every island of the Philippines. She is the body, the face, the skin. She can do glamour, camp, and performances that can gag you all day and all night," Marina said.

Minty Fresh

Minty Fresh is a model, designer, pop singer, and performer who regularly takes the Nectar Nightclub stage. ICYDK, she was the drag queen who performed Ariana Grande's Break Free at Leni Robredo's Pasig rally—Ariana herself reposted a video of the crowd singing along! In addition, Minty is also a makeup artist who got to do Nadine Lustre's makeup.

This queen describes herself as "GGSS." "Her drag aesthetic is hyper-feminine. She's a fashion queen, she's a look queen," she said.

Precious Paula Nicole

Precious Paula Nicole is a 35-year-old queen from Daet, Camarines Norte and has been in the drag scene for over 11 years. This O'Bar queen is known for impersonating divas like Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Madonna, and Regine Velasquez.

Despite being famous for impersonations, Precious said she can do more. "I can do comedy, I can do dance numbers, and I can do drama."

Prince

One of the co-founders of Drag Playhouse PH, Prince is known for her stunning makeup transformations. In addition, this Bulacan-based queen has her own makeup and merch line.

"My drag style is very out of this world, extraterrestrial because growing up, I loved playing video games," she said.

Turing

An O'Bar regular performer, Turing is a Broadway fan and theater kid who used to be a cheerleader in college. She's been doing drag for more than four years professionally.

"Turing is your big, bold, beautiful, lactose intolerant bitch. She's a plus size queen but di hadlang ang size sa kanyang magandang anyo," the performer from Cainta, Rizal said.

Viñas Deluxe

Viñas Deluxe is a 25-year-old queen who calls herself the "pambansang bunganga ng Pilipinas" and has been doing drag since she was 18.

This queen owns a wig business and is part of the drag group The Divine Divas, which mounted digital performances and live streams during the pandemic.

"Ang isa sa mga strongest suits ko is yung paggawa ng hair. Yun yung bihira kong nakikita sa mga local queens," she said.

Xilhouete

Xilhouete is a drag mom who's also the creative director and co-owner of Nectar Nightclub. She started as a female impersonator and transitioned to doing drag. This queen describes her personality as "profound, feisty, and meticulous."

"I'm well-respected in [the local drag community] not only because I'm a drag mother, but because I live up to it," she said.
