The Karate Kid villain Terry Silver is officially confirmed for Cobra Kai Season 4 with Thomas Ian Griffith reprising his role.

Netflix has just shared a teaser trailer that gives us our first look at the return of the founder of the Cobra Kai dojo, who made his debut in The Karate Kid Part III released in 1989.

The return was hinted throughout Cobra Kai Season 3, when we saw Silver’s backstory in flashback sequences involving John Kreese (Martin Kove). Silver was shown as a prisoner of war alongside Kreese during the Vietnam war. In the Season 3 finale, Kreese was seen calling up his old war buddy.

The brief teaser, which features the ponytailed baddie’s back to the camera, includes a voiceover from the character, featuring dialogue from The Karate Kid Part III. The teaser then concludes with, “Now The Real Pain Begins.”

"Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been carefully orchestrating the right moment to unleash Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver back into the universe. That moment is now. We can’t wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith’s majestic return to the franchise,” executive producers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg said in a statement.

"It’s going to be really interesting to see Silver come back into the picture, especially with his past with Daniel Larusso. It’s like all of Daniel’s worst nightmares are coming back to haunt him! Luckily he’s got Johnny Lawrence on his side, now. I’m excited to see how this next chapter of the series plays out,” the statement added.

In Cobra Kai Season 4, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) will be joining forces to take down John Kreese’s Cobra Kai. It was also revealed that the Season 4 premiere is titled "Let's Begin," calling back to the reveal of Daniel and Johnny working together at the very end of Season 3.

Cobra Kai originally launched on YouTube Red in 2018 and ran for two season before being picked up by Netflix.

The first three seasons of Cobra Kai are currently streaming on Netflix. Season 4 is set to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2021.
