iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus now comes in yellow; pre-order begins March 10
Just when you thought the previously released iPhone 14 is enough to make heads turn, Apple unveiled a new variant of the coveted smartphone that's out to make iOS fans go bananas.
Enter the new iPhone 14 and 14 Plus in yellow.
The new sunny variant was announced by Apple on March 7, in time for spring in the U.S. It comes with the same specs as the existing models released last September, but looks a lot perkier on the outside with its new color.
Just like the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus in Midnight, Starlight, Product RED, blue, and purple, its yellow variant comes with an aerospace-grade aluminum body paired with a Ceramic Shield front cover which, according to Apple, "is tougher than any other smartphone glass."
It also has the same features as the latest iPhone line, such as Apple's in-house A15 Bionic chip; rear dual-camera system with 12MP main and 12MP ultra-wide shooters, 12MP selfie camera, 4K video recording capabilities, Super Retina XDR Display, Emergency SOS, and Crash Detection, among many others.
“People love their iPhone and rely on it every day for all that they do, and now there’s an exciting addition to the lineup with a new yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus,” Bob Borchers, Apple vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said in a press release.
The upcoming yellow iPhone is the third of its kind that the tech giant released since its debut in the market in 2007. Back in 2013, Apple launched the iPhone 5c in white and pastel colors yellow, green, blue, and pink. The same colors were used for the iPhone 11 that was launched seven years later, in 2019.
Apple's latest release is part of its annual tradition to release new iPhone colorways for spring. In the same month last year, the Cupertino-based company unveiled the green variant of iPhone 13's Pro models. Meanwhile, in 2021, it introduced its much-talked-about purple iPhone 12.
Pinoy customers eager to get their hands on the new yellow iPhone 14 or 14 Plus can start preordering the unit on March 10, 9 p.m., via Apple's website. Global rollout is slated for March 14.
