Hit web novel 'Solo Leveling' drops teaser for anime adaptation
Looking for a new action-fantasy anime that could get your heart pumping with excitement? The hit South Korean web novel Solo Leveling has just dropped a new teaser trailer for its upcoming anime adaptation.
The trailer is filled with an intense music as it sees Sung Jin-woo, the main protagonist of the series, battling a powerful magical monster that resides in a dungeron.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Solo Leveling's premise revolves around a world where mysterious "gates" have appeared, causing a connection between the real world and a realm where magic and monsters exist. To ensure the survival of humanity, ordinary humans who have received supernatural abilities began to slay these vile beasts.
Among these so-called "Hunters" is Sung Jin-woo, a 20-year-old man who is mocked as the "World's Weakest" due to his possession of a pathetic power. However, his life takes a drastic turn when he survives a powerful dungeon that wiped out his entire party and is offered a quest that will transform him into one of the world's most fearsome Hunters.
The web novel was originally written by Chugong and was later turned into a webtoon illustrated by late artist Dubu. Its anime adaptation will be helmed by Shunsuke Nakashige, who is known for working on prominent shows such as Attack on Titan and Chainsaw Man. Solo Leveling is scheduled for a winter 2024 release.
