BLINKS, you'll see more of BLACKPINK's Jennie on television soon.

Jennie is set to star in the Korean variety show My Name is Gabriel, which also features K-drama heartthrobs Ji Chang Wook and Park Bo Gum.

According to a report by Korean entertainment site Soompi, the K-pop idol will play Maria, a "1996-born peer" and the owner of an Italian farmhouse bed and breakfast in a village near Rome, Italy.

As Maria, she will perform various tasks, including "picking up guests, cooking, preparing for banquets, and conducting cooking classes."

Jennie will star in episodes 13 and 14, which are scheduled to air on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

The show is also available on Disney+.

Jennie is the new addition to the A-list Hallyu actors who joined the show, such as Yeom Hye Ran, Ji Chang Wook, and Park Bo Gum, as well as Korean entertainers Park Myung Soo and Hong Jin Kyung.

The variety show, produced and directed by South Korean television director Kim Tae Ho, will follow the story of each cast "experiencing the lives of others abroad."

In March, citing sources from TV network JTBC and Jennie's agency, Soompi reported that the 28-year-old Korean star would not appear in the show as she does not plan to appear on variety shows.

"[Jennie] received an offer but declined it. She does not plan on appearing on variety shows for the time being," her agency said in a statement during that time.

Meanwhile, Jennie also starred in different Korean variety shows, including Apartment 404 (2024) and Village Survival: The Eight (2018).

In November 2023, she established her own label, ODD ATELIER (OA).
