Are you ready for another exciting adventure with Goku and the gang?

Crunchyroll is set to stream a new Dragon Ball anime series that was created in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s original manga.

Titled Dragon Ball DAIMA, the series follows an original storyline centering on Goku and his friends turning small due to a mysterious conspiracy. Goku, Supreme Kai, and new characters Glorio and Panzy are then thrust into a thrilling adventure in an unknown world called the "Demon Realm."

Dragon Ball DAIMA is once again animated by its original studio Toei Animation, which is also known for producing other notable shows such as One Piece, Sailor Moon, Slam Dunk, Digimon, among others.

Dragon Ball DAIMA is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima, who is a key animator for Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge, and Aya Komaki, who is the series director for One Piece

Fans can expect a new opening theme song composed by Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd with support from C&K, the singer-songwriting duo of CLIEVY and KEEN.

With the addition of Dragon Ball DAIMA, the franchise now spans six episodic series, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super, and 21 feature films.

The series comes six months after Toriyama passed away on March 1 earlier this year due to an acute subdural hematoma.

The 68-year-old Japanese artist's beloved manga was first launched in 1984 in Shueisha’s "Weekly Shonen Jump" and has since sold 260 million copies worldwide.

Dragon Ball DAIMA will be available to stream with subtitles on Crunchyroll starting Oct. 11 globally and including the Philippines.
