Good news, Star Wars fans!

The force will definitely be with you this coming September as Film Concerts PH has announced that the Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert will be coming to Manila to let fans enjoy the iconic soundtrack of the sci-fi films.

"The movie that started it all is coming back to the big screen, backed by the live performance of a full orchestra," Film Concerts PH stated.

"Relive the magic of the Skywalker Saga in Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, for the first time in the Philippines," they added.

The concert will take place at The Theater at Solaire on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.

Viewers will get to enjoy the first film released in the Star Wars series as its Oscar-winning score composed by John Williams will be performed live by the Filharmonika Orchestra as the movie plays out.

Veteran music conductor Gerard Salonga will lead the orchestra.

Film Concerts PH will be holding a limited pre-sale for all keen Star Wars fans on June 3 at 10 a.m. before going on-sale to the public on June 5. You can get tickets through Ticketworld's website as well as their outlets nationwide.

While Star Wars: A New Hope was the first film to be released in the franchise, it is actually the fourth chronological chapter of the "Skywalker Saga." The story follows a group of freedom fighters known as the Rebel Alliance who aim to take down the tyrannical Galactic Empire.

Leading the cast are Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and the late Carrie Fisher.
