Rodel Gonzalez—Disney’s first and only officially licensed Filipino artist to paint Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars artworks—will soon stage a one-man show in the Philippines.

Local fans of the said brands can look forward to The Fine Art of Rodel Gonzalez next month at COLLAB Sheraton Manila Hotel at Newport World Resorts.

The exhibition will feature beloved characters from the aforementioned franchises, including Disney princesses Cinderella and Elsa, Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes Iron Man and Spider-Man, as well as Star Wars' Yoda, Darth Vader, and Stormtroopers.

All of these iconic characters are rendered in Gonzalez's signature artistic style that promises to be a "visual feast" for Filipino attendees.

The event, set to take place at 5 p.m. on June 3, follows other sold-out international shows in Japan and the United States.

“It is high time that an international Filipino artist, at the caliber of Rodel Gonzalez, becomes well known in this country," Newport World Resorts president and chief executive officer Kingson Sian said.

Disney first accredited Gonzales 15 years ago in 2008 to visualize its characters and scenarios through his paintings. He has since been recognized for his dry-brush technique and particular eye for color, form, and composition,

His solo show will display and auction off over a hundred art pieces of different sizes and mediums (Acrylic on Black Paper, Acrylic on Canvas, Acrylic on Gesso Board, Oil on Canvas, Oil on Gesso Board, Oil on Aluminum, and Giclee on Canvas). Previously, Gonzalez's artworks were sold across Disney Theme Parks, Cruise Lines, and art galleries across North America, Europe, and Japan.

The artist's collection is curated and organized by Kartini Asia Gallery with the special participation of Uniquecorn Strategies.
