FDCP's Sine50 lets you watch movies for P50 this April
Rising commodity prices putting off your trips to the cinema? Now’s your chance to catch up on must-see Filipino films without spending too much!
The Film Development Council of the Philippines' Sine50: Pelikula ng Bayan allows you to catch them for the low price of P50.
Movies in the lineup include the multi-awarded Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino flick Signal Rock starring Christian Bables' Intoy, who shoulders his family’s struggles while connecting with their overseas sister through their island’s peculiar rock formations; K’na, Dreamweaver starring Mara Lopez's titular character, a gifted T’boli weaver torn between love and duty, and Himpapawid, which is about a deranged hijacker's misadventures in the streets of Manila, earning the late Sue Prado a Best Supporting Actress award.
Also featured are CinemaOne movies Lorna, midlife romantic comedy drama, and A Short History of a Few Bad Things, a Cebuano detective story about grisly killings.
The movie festival began on April 13 and will last until Apr. 30.
You can catch these movies at Cinematheque Centre Manila, Cinematheque Centre Iloilo, Cinematheque Centre Davao, and Cinematheque Centre Negros.
