Actress Sue Prado dies at 44
Actress Sue Prado has died. She was 44.
Her sister, May Shereen Prado, announced her death on social media.
"It is with profound pain that we share Sue’s passing. Sue brought light in anyone’s path throughout her life. A life lived for others, for the craft she nourished and for those who she loved most," she wrote.
"Please celebrate her in any way you know how, and honor her memory through kindness," she added.
The cause of her death was not disclosed.
Her friends in the entertainment industry mourned Prado's passing on social media. Actress Mercedes Cabral shared her photo on Instagram story with the caption, "Araw-araw. Lagi lagi, toots."
AKTOR - League of Filipino Actors also paid tribute to Prado.
"And above all else, truth. That is the secret sauce of the talent that is @pradosue. In her craft, in her relationships, to her family and in life, Sue’s north star has always been her commitment to truth," they wrote.
"We will miss you, kapatid. The industry has lost one of its brightest tonight. Fly high, Sue. Into the light of the dark black night," they added.
Prado appeared in several indie films and on mainstream TV. Some of her notable roles were in Oro, Barber's Tales, Thelma, Dagsin, and Your Mother's Son, for which she earned a Best Actress nomination at the 8th EDDYs Awards.
Her latest acting work includes Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters, My Father's Wife, select episodes on Ang Probinsyano, and the film Desperada.
