Win Metawin to perform at Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation
Global celebrity and Thai superstar Win Metawin will perform at the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines coronation night.
This comes after Win visited the country on April 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Cinema for the promotional tour of his film Under Parallel Skies, where he stars with local actress Janella Salvador.
"Pilipinas, excited na ba kayo?" the MUPH wrote in the caption.
The Thai actor will join the likes of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World top 4 queen Marina Summers, who will also be taking the stage at the local pageant's coronation night, happening on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Meanwhile, Gabbi Garcia and Tim Yap will host the event.
The pageant's winner will be crowned by Michelle Dee and will go on to represent the Philippines at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico on September 28.
The 25-year-old Thai actor previously came to the Philippines for his first solo fan meeting in June last year, where he expressed interest in working with Filipino celebrities if given the chance.
Win is known for starring in the 2020 hit Thai drama 2gether: The Series and F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers.
Recently, he also starred in the film Under Parraller Skies with Janella, which premiered in April. It was directed by Sigrid Bernardo, who is best known for directing the 2017 romantic comedy flick Kita Kita starring Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez, which became the highest-grossing Philippine independent film.
