National Museum to launch NMP Passport on May 18—here's how to get one for free
Here's one way you can make your visits to the National Museum more exciting.
The National Museum of the Philippines is launching the NMP Passport in time for International Museum Day on May 18.
Like official passports, you use the NMP Passport by gathering stamps. For each visit to the National Museum and its regional component museums across the country, you earn a stamp. It's a fun way to document your journey as you explore the history, art, and culture of the Philippines.
The best part is that you can get it for free. To do so, you will need to complete several steps first.
1. Follow the official Facebook page of the National Museum of the Philippines, as well as the pages of its regional component museums. Aside from the NMP Complex in Manila, there are six in Northern Luzon, four in Southern Luzon, four in Visayas, and four in Mindanao. Find the full list here.
2. Accomplish this form, then wait for email confirmation. Save a screenshot of the email.
3. On May 18, present the email confirmation at the entrance of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila. Once inside, head to the NMP Auditorium on the ground floor, where the NMP Passport will be launched at 9 a.m.
4. Attend the orientation during the launch.
On International Museum Day, the three components of the National Museum in Manila—Fine Arts, Anthropology, and Natural History—as well as its regional component museums, have numerous activities scheduled, all of which are anchored on the theme, "Museums uniting a divided world."
Check out the National Museum's calendar of programs, activities, and events for International Museum Day in the gallery below. Some of them happen simultaneously, so map out your day carefully. Note that completing these is the final requirement to claim your free NMP Passport.
Remember, the free NMP Passport is available only until stocks last.
