Lionel Richie was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital after his concert in St. Louis.

According to reports by multiple media outlets like TMZ and ABC News, the 77-year-old singer checked himself into a hospital “out of an abundance of caution” after headlining The Muny's annual summer finale concert last weekend.

Sources said Richie is being evaluated for possible dehydration and is hoping to be discharged on Sept. 1.

During his St. Louis show, Richie reportedly asked for a chair while performing All Night Long, his final song for the night.

This came months after another health scare during his ongoing Sing a Song All Night Long tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. In June, Richie had to cut short a concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, after telling the audience he was feeling dizzy. Richie later returned to the stage and reassured fans that he was doing well. The incident, however, resulted in the postponement of his next two shows, according to Live Nation Chicago

His next scheduled performance is set for Sept. 26 in San Francisco.

Richie is best known for the hits Hello, All Night Long, Dancing on the Ceiling, and Say You, Say Me. He is also a longtime judge on American Idol.
