Are you an iPhone user who wants to take your favorite console games anywhere you go?

Meet the Backbone One - PlayStation Edition, the first licensed mobile controller exclusive to iPhone users who want to take their video gaming experience outside the comforts of their home.

PlayStation and Backbone announced the latest collaboration via social media last Sunday.

Upon attaching the controller to your iPhone and accessing the PS Remote Play application through a stable internet connection, you can play your favorite PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games while still having the sense of familiarity from its similar design inspired by Sony's iconic DualSense wireless controller.

Aside from being able to play console games through your smartphone, Backbone One can also improve your gaming experience with its smooth controls for popular mobile games such as Genshin Impact and Call of Duty: Mobile.

Backbone One also allows an immersive gameplay with its integrated 3.5 millimeter headphone jack and a passthrough lightning port that lets you charge your phone while using the controller.

iPhone users using the iOS15 or later will be able to utilize the controller. As a reference, PlayStation provided a list of iPhones that can run iOS15 along with a short tutorial on how to set up Backbone One.

During its first launch, Backbone One will be available in select countries in Europe, United States, Canada, and Mexico and will retail for $99.99 (P5,558.69). There is no set date for the controller’s availability in the Philippines, however Backbone CEO Maneet Khaira wrote in a July 28 announcement that more countries will follow after the initial launch.
