KATSEYE coming to the Philippines in September

KATSEYE, the new girl group that includes Filipina talent Sophia Laforteza, is heading to the Philippines next month!

The group announced the news in an X post on Saturday, Aug. 31, saying that they are staying in the country for three days: from Sept. 17 to 19.

Aside from the Philippines, KATSEYE is also dropping by Korea from Sept. 12 to 16 and Japan from Sept. 20 to 23.

It's still unclear whether they are having a concert or a fan meet.

KATSEYE was formed from the audition program The Debut: Dream Academy under South Korea’s HYBE Labels, which takes charge of groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN, and NewJeans. It's also under the United States’ Geffen Records, which houses talents like Olivia Rodrigo and Kali Uchis.

In November 2023, Laforteza was confirmed as one of its members after securing a spot in the final round of the competition.

Aside from Laforteza, KATSEYE also consists of Lara, Megan, and Daniela from the USA; Manon from Switzerland; and Yoonchae from South Korea.

Following their first single Debut, the group released their second single in July and their first EP titled SIS (Soft is Strong) in August.
