P-pop icons SB19 and BINI accepted Billboard Korea’s Voices of Asia award on Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Seoul, Korea.

Billboard Philippines handpicked the Kings of P-pop and the Nation’s Girl Group to receive the special award at the Billboard K POWER 100 launch held at THE SHILLA Seoul.

In their acceptance speech, SB19 highlighted the recognition of Filipino artistry in the global music scene.

“This milestone belongs not just to us, but to the entire P-Pop movement, OPM, and of course, everyone sharing Filipino creativity across Asia and the world,” said Josh of SB19.

“To our fellow Filipino artists who are here right now: BINI, we are very proud of you. We have been making waves right now,” he added.

Meanwhile, BINI thanked their team and dedicated fans for supporting them throughout their hardships.

“It’s ultimately an honor [...]. But this award is not only for us but also for the people that believe in us and who have been part of our journey,” said Aiah of BINI.

“This award reminds us that anything is possible with hard work and dedication,” BINI Jhoanna added, “To our fellow P-pop group, SB19, thank you so much for inspiring us.”

Billboard K POWER 100 aims to highlight and recognize Korean music’s growing influence on the global music industry, including P-pop.

BINI consists of Maloi, Stacey, Jhoanna, Colet, Gwen, Mikha, Aiah, and Sheena. They were recently hailed as the Philippines' top artist on Spotify after surpassing Taylor Swift as the most-listened-to artist in the country. They're known for the hits Salamin, Salamin and Pantropiko.

Meanwhile, SB19 consists of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin. The group dominated the recent Awit Awards with 12 nods, including a nomination for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Performance by a Group.
