Chucky's back.

Remember Chucky the killer doll? The iconic 1980s horror character is making a comeback in the form of a TV series set to drop on Oct. 12, 2021 via American channel SyFy/USA.

The story follows the haunted doll being discovered in a yard sale by outcast Jake Webber (portrayed by 14-year old Zachary Arthur). Serving as a type of coping mechanism for the teenager, Jake begins to wield the creepy doll everywhere—from the halls of his high school to his laboratory class.

A 20-second teaser was also released showcasing the fateful yard sale, and a butcher knife that mysteriously goes missing.

Aside from the usual gruesome plotline, the new Chucky series is set to shed light on Jake's sexual orientation and how being shunned has led him to take solace in the doll. This LGBTQ+ plotline will be a first in the Chucky story, which has spanned eight movies from 1998 to 2019.

Meanwhile, voice actors Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly are set to reprise their roles as the 29-inch menace and his wife, Tiffany.
