John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are expecting their first baby together
In an interview with Seth Meyers, comedian John Mulaney confirmed that he and The Newsroom actor Olivia Munn are expecting their first child together.
“It is a very, very lucky thing to have met this woman,” the American stand-up comedian said. “I got into this relationship that’s been really beautiful with someone incredible…and we're having a baby together.”
Mulaney also opened up about his substance abuse before dating Munn. He told Meyers that he went into rehab in September 2020 and got out in October. He then had a drug addiction relapse and went back to rehab for another two months and got out in February 2021.
He shared that he started to date Munn when he went to Los Angeles in the spring of 2021. “Then in spring, I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date the wonderful woman Olivia.”
He added, “Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself this early journey out of recovery.”
Mulaney was first married to makeup artist Anna Marie Tendler. But The Independent reported that Mulaney filed a divorce and “confirmed they had separated in May [2020].”
Tendler then issued a statement, saying, “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”
Meanwhile, rumors about Mulaney and Munn’s relationship circulated after Munn took to Twitter her support for the comedian as he checked himself into rehab in December 2020 after a relapse. “Sending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this.”

Rumors about their relationship were confirmed when Mulaney and Munn were spotted having lunch at Rick’s Dive In & Out in Los Angeles last June 2021, Us Weekly reported.
