'The Batman' production suspended after Robert Pattinson tests positive for COVID-19
Filming of The Batman has been suspended again after British actor Robert Pattinson reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019.
First reported by Vanity Fair, Warner Bros. said that the production of Matt Reeves' retelling of the Dark Knight has been delayed after a member of the crew contracted the virus. The shooting of the highly-anticipated DC film just resumed a few days ago.
“A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused,” Warner Bros. told Vanity Fair in a statement.
Although Warner Bros. did not name the infected individual, Vanity Fair cited a source claiming that the person who contracted the virus was Pattinson.
The film’s production was suspended in March during the COVID-19 outbreak.
