Here's how you and Barbie can perk up National Pink Day this June 23

Ready to celebrate everything pink on National Pink Day this June 23? If so, then you're in luck as several mall branches in the Philippines are cooking up something special in anticipation of the upcoming fantasy comedy film Barbie.

To celebrate the event, Warner Bros. is unveiling "something pink" in various malls across Metro Manila, which includes SM North EDSA, Trinoma, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Megamall, Uptown Mall, and SM Mall of Asia.

The unboxing is open to the public, and you can make some great memories as there are also going to be cosplayers joining in for photo opportunities.

Make sure to arrive early, however, as the first 50 guests to take a photo will be given Krispy Kreme donuts as bonus treats.

Based on the iconic fashion dolls by Mattel, the upcoming Barbie movie centers on the titular character as she experiences an existential crisis while living in Barbie Land. She then sets out on a journey to the Real World to find a solution for her problem of being a less-than-perfect doll, only to be joined by Ken.

The film is directed by Greta Gerwig and stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, alongside America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Helen Mirren and Will Ferrell.

Barbie is set to turn cinema screens pink as it premieres in the Philippines on July 19.
