Chie Filomeno takes swipe at Sofia Andres over cryptic posts
Is there an ongoing feud between Chie Filomeno and Sofia Andres?
On Friday, Oct. 10, Filomeno took to social media to address criticisms anew about her personal life.
"Lagi naman ganun, no? When you finally stand up for yourself, some people will still find something to criticize or belittle you. If I stay silent, I’m guilty. Tagal niyo na ganyan—kahit anong issue, kahit sinong artista—wala pa rin kayong pagbabago hanggang ngayon. And then if I speak up, kasalanan ko na naman or i’m guilty,” Chie wrote.
She also lamented how social media users, especially those who "hide behind dummy accounts and private profiles," throw hurtful comments about her and those special to her.
“I will not allow anyone to belittle me especially the people close to my heart. I’ve seen how some hide behind dummy accounts, private profiles, or worse—create new ones just to hurt others. That’s not right. Not right at all. Tigilan niyo na, please,” she wrote.
“I’m choosing to use my platform—this is me using my platform. It might not do much, but it’s about time people understand their boundaries. I will speak when I feel it’s necessary—dahil tao pa rin ako. Tao pa rin kami,” she added.
In the comments section, social media users allege that the post may be about Andres. An Instagram user tagged the latter saying, "[M]ay sinasabe oh," to which Filomeno replied, "[H]indi niya makikita kasi blinock niya ako and I didn't unfollow her."
She further fueled the seeming feud rumors between them, liking another Instagram user's comment that read, "A friend who stops being your friend after a small misunderstanding was never truly your friend and has just been waiting for an excuse to drop you."
Meanwhile, an Instagram user called out Filomeno for "fueling hate towards Sofia."
As her response, Filomeno clarified that the post wasn't about Andres, saying the latter was the one who "loves to post 'cryptic things' and using God's name."
A few days ago, Andres unfollowed Filomeno on Instagram and posted a cryptic message on Threads.
She said, “Sad how people copy you, chase your circle, and use you for clout. At the end of the day, God sees everything. Bless your soul.”
Andres is dating Daniel Miranda, with whom she shares her daughter, Zoe.
Meanwhile, Filomeno, who recently broke up with Jake Cuenca, is being linked with Cebuano businessman Matthew Lhuillier, a cousin of Miranda.
